Terms Of Service
Last Updated: June 2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of britishbookpublisher.co.uk and any services you engage from British Book Publisher. By using our website or commissioning any service, you confirm you’ve read and agreed to these terms in full. If anything here is unclear, contact us before engaging a service. We’d rather sort questions upfront than disputes after the fact.
1. Who We Are
British Book Publisher is a professional book publishing services agency providing ghostwriting, editing, cover design, formatting, multi-platform publishing, and marketing services to authors worldwide. We operate under UK law, registered in England and Wales.
2. Acceptance of Terms
Using our website, submitting a project enquiry, making a payment, or engaging any service constitutes full acceptance of these Terms of Service. We may update these terms at any time — changes take effect immediately on publication. Continued use of our services after a change means you’ve accepted the updated terms.
3. Services
British Book Publisher provides professional publishing services including ghostwriting, developmental and copy editing, proofreading, cover design, interior formatting, Amazon book description copywriting, KDP publishing setup, multi-platform distribution, audiobook production, book launch management, custom illustrations, and book video trailers.
The exact scope of your engagement is confirmed in writing before any work commences.
4.Project Commencement & Timelines
Work begins after written project confirmation, deposit receipt, and receipt of all required materials from you. Delivery timelines start from this point — not from initial enquiry. Late submission of required materials shifts timelines accordingly. British Book Publisher is not responsible for missed launch dates caused by delays on the client side.
5. Revisions
Revision rounds are specified in your service agreement. A revision means changes within the original project scope. New directions, concept changes, and major additions constitute change orders and are quoted separately. Revision requests must be submitted within 14 days of each deliverable.
6.Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, you own all content created for your project. British Book Publisher retains no claim. You warrant that all materials you provide are lawfully owned by you and don’t infringe any third-party rights. You indemnify British Book Publisher against claims arising from materials you supply.
7. Confidentiality
All client projects are confidential by default. We don’t disclose project details, manuscript content, or your identity to any third party without written consent. Formal NDA available on request before any briefing.
8. Payment
A 50% deposit is typically required before commencement; the balance on final delivery. Some packages require full payment upfront. We accept credit/debit cards, bank transfer, and PayPal. Prices are quoted in GBP unless otherwise agreed. Late payments beyond 14 days may result in work being paused.
9. Limitation of Liability
We deliver services with care and expertise but cannot guarantee sales outcomes, Amazon rankings, or royalty levels. These depend on many factors outside our control. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the project in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
10. Amazon & Platform Policies
All work is prepared to current Amazon KDP guidelines. Platform policies change without notice — British Book Publisher cannot be held responsible for rejections resulting from policy changes after delivery. We’ll work with you in good faith to address any required amendments.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
